Marinette District Attorney Funding

There could be help on the way for the backlogged Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.  State Representative John Nygren, Co-Chair of the Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee announced the committee had included a provision in the budget that would provide additional funding for counties under 45,000 population with significant backlogs in their District Attorney Offices.  The funding would effectively make the part time assistant DA position fulltime for the next two years.

The Joint Finance committee completed it’s work on the budget, which will be taken up by the Assembly next week.
