Over 250 people turned out for Bay Area Medical Center’s annual Cancer Survivor Day on Sunday. It was the first public event held at the new BAMC hospital on University Drive which will open in August. Besides a picnic lunch, attendees were offered the first look at the new Cancer Center. While the building and some furnishing are now complete, most of the equipment has yet to be moved in. BAMC CEO Ed Harding says the hospital is looking forward to opening the new facility.
A public open house of the entire new hospital are scheduled for July 20th and 21st .
