BAMC Imposes Visitor Restrictions
03/06/2019- As the flu season progresses, Bay Area Medical Center is asking the public to limit their visits to the hospital. Hospital representatives are reminding people that those who are at BAMC are sick or recovering and catching the flu or other illnesses can seriously impact their progress. These patients are also more susceptible to developing further complications like pneumonia from infections because of their already lowered immune resistance. At this point, BAMC is restricting visits from anyone who shows symptoms of the flu or who is younger than 16 years old, unless that person is being seen for treatment. Anyone who has been exposed to illness and needs to visit the hospital is asked to obtain a face mask at the registration desk and keep their visit as short as possible.
