Housing Development Proposed for Wausaukee’s Ranger Hill
01/02/2020- As many as twenty new families could be moving into the Village of Wausaukee under a new proposed housing development plan. The project comes following months of discussion between inVenture North and community leaders on how to bolster the local housing market to attract and retain residents. Roberta Davis is inVenture’s Director of Marketing and Community Development and says developing new housing options has been identified as a top priority by both their organization and communities and industries across the county.
Davis says people are commuting from as far away as Appleton for jobs in Marinette County and the economic and community benefits of bringing these families in to stay will reach well beyond Wausaukee’s village limits.
Smet Construction, in partnership with inVenture North and the Village of Wausaukee will host meetings on the new development on January 8th at the Wausaukee Village Hall and on January 15th at inVenture North, both from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. There, people can speak with project representatives, check out available floor plans, and meet with mortgage officers. If all goes well, these new homes could be move-in ready by the summer of 2020.
