Imagination Library Serves Local Kids

ImaginationLibrary.png

Local children can receive free books as part of a nationwide program brought to our area by the Great Start Collaborative of Menominee County and the Healthy Youth Coalition of Marinette and Menominee Counties. The organizations were awarded a $500 grant from the Women’s Giving Circle Fund at the M&M Area Community Foundation which will support the local Imagination Library Program. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides children ages birth through five one free book monthly regardless of their family’s income. The Dolly Parton Foundation underwrites half the cost of the books and the Great Start Collaborative and the HYC are responsible for writing grants and fundraising to support the other half. Currently, the program serves more than 800 children
