08/05/2019- Organizers with the local T.O.P. Dog Park group are proving that with perseverance and a little hard work, anything is paws-ible. It’s been a five-year effort to secure the land for and construct an off-leash park where dogs and their owners can get outside, socialize, and play, but T.O.P Dog Park President Justine Raygo says it’s finally paid off and the big grand opening of the park on Harbor Road in Peshtigo is scheduled for August 17th. The event begins at 2 p.m. and offers park permit specials and more information for attendees on how they can get involved in the organization.
Once complete, the park will be open daily from dawn until dusk in the spring through the fall. Raygo says it’s taken the backing of the entire community to get the project off the ground.
Permits to the park will be offered for $20 for the first dog and $10 for each additional dog and these permits will be good for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Day passes to the T.O.P. Dog Park are also available for $3. All dogs must be licensed and be up to date on their vaccinations.
