Marinette Hospital Receives B Grade in Safety Report

11/11/2019- The local hospital shows fair performance in a nationwide safety rating report. Aurora Medical Center- Bay Area received a “B” in the Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2019 Hospital Safety Grading. Hospital doctors and staff received top marks when it came to preventing safety problems, but ranked low in having specially trained doctors caring for ICU patients. Aurora Medical Center- Bay Area also declined to report in several categories. The hospital has consistently held A or B ratings since the fall of 2017. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is a bi-annual grading of general acute-care hospitals in the U.S. It is the nation’s only rating focused entirely on patient safety—preventable errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
