Marinette House Fire

FireTruckLights.jpg

There was extensive damage in a Marinette house fire Monday evening.  The Marinette Fire Department was called to 1431 Newberry Avenue at 5:05pm.  Firemen found heavy smoke coming from the east side windows and flames visible inside.  The family, which included two adults and four young children, were not at home at the time, but firemen were able to rescue the family dog from the house.

There is extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the house, and water damage to the first floor. The fire remains under investigation.  The fire department believes they have identified the area of origin, but the cause remains undetermined.

A Go-Fund Me page has been set up to assist Andrew Nuerenberg and Maykayla Porter and their 4 children. There is detailed information on how you can help the family.
