County Administrator Jason Carviou brought a proposal to the County Board to establish an Economic Development Committee that would be added to the county’s current roster of standing committees. The committee would be comprised of three county commissioners, the County Administrator and Treasurer, and the Executive Director of the Menominee Business Development Corporation. Commissioner Larry Phelps supports the idea and its push to increase transparency and communication.
