Menominee Sets Threshold for Self-Funded Sports

The Menominee School Board will require self-funded sports such as boys’ baseball and girls’ softball to certify to the athletic director 60 days prior to their first scheduled game that they have raised 90 percent of their estimated budget or the season. The board had considered setting a hard dollar amount as the threshold for allowing the sport to proceed, but instead went with the proposal offered by board member Hunter Mans.
