More Information Released About South Dakota Homicide Victim Found in Menominee Township
03/20/2019- Court documents reveal some disturbing new details about the death of a South Dakota woman whose body was recovered from the Little River in Menominee Township over the weekend. A criminal affidavit filed Tuesday shows 46-year-old Tamara LaFramboise of Yankton, South Dakota was dismembered after she was allegedly killed by 45-year-old Stephen Falkenberg, a former Menominee resident. Falkenberg told his daughter he and LaFramboise got into an argument at LaFramboise’s apartment near Yankton on March 1st and she died after he pushed her into a wall. Falkenberg is then believed to have driven LaFramboise’s body more than 600 miles to a location near a home owned by his family in Menominee Township and thrown her remains over a bridge and into the water. LaFramboise’s body was discovered March 16th, though her head, hands, and feet have not yet been located. Falkenberg is in custody and has been charged with second degree murder with an initial appearance set for Thursday. The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference on the matter this morning at 10:00 AM.
