Oconto County Closes County-Owned Recreational Sites to Stave off COVID-19

04/09/2020- To stop the spread of COVID-19 during this public health emergency the Oconto County Health Officer has ordered all Oconto County-owned campgrounds and boat landings closed, as well as the suspension of ATV use on county roads. Officials say the County is committed to the health and safety of its residents and these outdoor activities draw many people in from outside the area, increasing the population and putting additional burden on their healthcare system. Under the Governor’s Safer at Home Order, outdoor enthusiasts are asked to stay close to home to stop the spread of the virus. This health order took effect yesterday and remains in effect until further notice.
