08/05/2019- Work on the former law enforcement center in Marinette is humming along. Marinette County Administrator John Lefebvre and Facilities Director Martin Keyport are meeting with representatives with Venture Architects on a weekly basis to discuss Venture’s progress in the design phase of the project and make amendments to floor plan proposals for the renovation of the Ella Court building. Lefebvre says final floor plans are expected in the coming weeks and crews should be begin physical work on the facility by the end of the year.
A cost estimate for the redevelopment of the law enforcement center has not yet been made available. Once completed, the building will house 18 to 20 county employees whose are currently using rented office space at the NWTC campus in Marinette.
