Residents Reminded to Remove Snow, Ice from Sidewalks

01/08/2019- With the recent snowfall, Menominee residents are reminded to keep their sidewalks clear. Menominee Municipal code requires the removal of snow and ice from city sidewalks within 24 hours after the last snowfall of one inch or more for business and public buildings and by 10:00 AM after 24 hours has passed since the last snowfall of one inch or more for residential property. Failure to remove snow or ice from sidewalks may result in a citation for ordinance violation and the removal of the snow by city crews at a cost of $25 plus $45 an hour billed to the property owner, as well as the potential for a special assessment against the property owner.
