Rogge Secures New Counsel
04/04/2019- There’s a new attorney in the murder case involving a Pembine couple. John D’Angelo will represent the defendant, 55-year-old Gary Rogge, who’s facing one count of first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly shooting his wife, 63-year-old Shelley Erickson-Rogge, at their home in January. Rogge’s previous counsel was withdrawn after it was determined he did not qualify for public defense and was required to hire his own attorney. He claims he and his wife had been drinking the day of his wife’s death and says he accidentally fired the gun while they were playing shooting games, but an autopsy revealed Erickson-Rogge died from a contact gunshot wound to the chest. Rogge has pleaded not guilty to the homicide charge against him. He’s due back in court April 29th for a status conference.
