Storm Spotter Training Offered by National Weather Service
04/07/2020- Marinette County is looking for a few more residents to keep their eye on the sky during storm events. Marinette County Emergency Management has arranged for the National Weather Service – Green Bay to conduct Storm Spotter training via webinar on April 30th. Storm Spotters are volunteers who help their community and NOAA’s National Weather Service by monitoring severe weather. Attendees will learn about cloud formation, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and reporting procedures. You must be 15 years of age or older to be a spotter and both first responders and the general public are invited to attend. The 90-minute class starts at 6 p.m. on the 30th and there’s no cost to take part. To register for the training, look for the link on Marinette County’s website under their “events” tab.
