Trolley Station Gets Conditional Use Permit
06/06/2019- A new workforce housing development planned to be built in Marinette by Newcap is a step closer to reality as the Marinette Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit for the project on Wednesday. The permit was needed since there would be more than 3 units per lot. The Trolley Station Terrace development would be a 3-story building housing 45 units. Cheryl Detrick of NEWCAP says they are still working on additional sources of funding and the building design. They hope to start construction next spring, but work on cleaning up contamination on the site in the 1500 Block of Main Street should begin this summer. They will be back before the Plan Commission for approval of the site plan later this year.
