Unemployment Rises in Marinette County
Unemployment has risen in Marinette County, according to new figures released by Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development. The local unemployment rate for December came in at 3.4%, up two-tenths of a percent from the 3.2% recorded in November. Joblessness in the county in December of 2017 stood at 3.8%. The statewide unemployment rate in December was unchanged at 3.%. That’s the eleventh straight month unemployment has been at or below 3%. Wisconsin’s unemployment rate was at 3.2% one year ago.
