Walker Announces TEACH Grant Recipients
A consortium of local school districts receives state funding to help better utilize technology in the classroom. Governor Scott Walker announced last week the recipients of Technology for Educational Achievement grants, which allow teachers in districts where there are less than 13 students per square mile attend regional technology training sessions. The TRITION consortium includes Bonduel, Coleman, Crivitz, Gillette, Lena, Oconto Unified, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Suring, and Wausaukee schools and will receive nearly $57000 in TEACH grants. In total, $1.5-million worth of TEACH grants were awarded to 196 rural school districts in 23 groups.
