HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING ON SATURDAY
COLEMAN HAD SIX INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONS AND CAPTURED THE TEAM TITLE AT THE WEST ALLIS INVITATIONAL. THE COUGARS FINISHED WITH 279.5 POINTS AND KOLTON GRYZBOWSKI, CALEB GROSS, JAKE BALDWIN, TYLER BLANCHARD, SHAMUS MCLAIN AND JONATHON BIEBER ALL WON THEIR WEIGHT CLASSES.

MARINETTE HAD A TOP TEN FINISH AT THE SHAWANO HOLIDAY CLASSIC WON BY MARSHFIELD. PESHTIGO WAS 12TH AND OCONTO 16TH.

MENOMINEE FINISHED 13TH AT THE MARQUETTE CHALLENGE.

CRIVITZ FINISHED 14TH AT THE SCHMIDT SCRAMBLE.

HOCKEY
THE M&M THUNDER WON THREE ROAD GAMES OVER THE WEEKEND, 5-2 OVER DODGEVILLE, 8-0 OVER MIDDLETON AND 7-1 OVER WAUNAKEE. WESLEY KNUTSON HAD HAT TRICKS IN ALL THREE GAMES HELPING THE THUNDER EXTEND THEIR WINNING STREAK TO 14 GAMES.

MARINETTE 31 WAUPACA 20 MANDY SIMS HAD 12 POINTS FOR THE MARINES WHO NOTCHED THEIR SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON.

MARINETTE HUNG ON FOR A 73-68 WIN OVER FOX VALLEY LUTHERAN. THE FOXES OVERCAME A 20 POINT DEFICIT WITH A 24-4 RUN TO TIE THE GAME AT 66 BUT THE MARINES CLOSED OUT THE GAME WITH A 7-2 RUN. MATT WAGNER LED THE MARINES WITH 25 POINTS AND HE MOVED INTO THIRD PLACE ON THE SCHOOLS ALL-TIME SCORING LIST WITH 1,157, FOUR MORE THAN BRYAN BOETTCHER. JAKE POETZL, FIRST ON THAT LIST HAD 23 POINTS LAST NIGHT HELPING THE MARINES IMPROVE TO 2-1 IN THE NORTHEASTERN CONFERENCE AND 4-2 OVERALL. FVL IS WINLESS ON THE YEAR.
