GLADSTONE UPSET MENOMINEE 46-45 IN A DIVISION 2 DISTRICT OPENER AT MENOMINEE HIGH SCHOOL. ANDIE BALENGER HIT A THREE POINTER AT THE BUZZER TO HAND THE MAROONS THEIR FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON. THE BRAVES OUTSCORED MENOMINEE 13-0 IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES OF THE GAME AND WILL HOST KINGSFORD IN THE DISTRICT SEMI’S ON WEDNESDAY. THE MAROONS FINISH 20-1 AND WILL RETURN MOST OF THEIR TEAM NEXT SEASON.

COLEMAN HAD TEN WRESTLERS QUALIFY FOR STATE AT THE DIVISION 3 SECTIONAL MEET AT BONDUEL ON SATURDAY. RAY LEMIEUX, KARSON CASPER, TYLER BLANCHARD, JOHN BIEBER, SHANUS MCLAIN AND SPENCER KARBAN ALL FINISHED FIRST. MEANWHILE COLE KLIMEK, SAM KUCHTA, WILL BIEBER AND CHANCE GRUBER ALL HAD RUNNER-UP FINISHES LEADING THE COUGARS TO A TEAM SCORE OF 222, BRILLION WAS SECOND WITH 25. THOSE TEN COUGARS WILL HEAD TO THE INDIVIDUAL STATE MEET IN MADISON THIS THURSDAY. COLEMAN WILL COMPETE AT TEAM STATE THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND.
