MARINETTE HIGH SCHOOL GOLFER TY KRETZ FINISHED SECOND BY ONE STROKE AT THE SOUTH FLORIDA KICK-OFF AT PGA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB IN WEST PALM BEACH OVER THE WEEKEND. KRETZ FIRED A 4 OVER 156. IT WAS HIS SECOND TOP 3 FINISH IN TWO WEEKS.
THIS WEEKEND KRETZ WILL COMPETE IN ANOTHER TOURNAMENT IN PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA. THE 36 HOLE TOURNEY WILL FEATURE GOLFERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.

ANOTHER HONOR FOR MENOMINEE HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR KEEGAN MONROE. MONROE WHO WAS NAMED THE GNC AND U.P. PLAYER OF THE YEAR WAS SELECTED TO THE DIVISION 5-6 ASSOCIATED PRESS ALL STATE SECOND TEAM AS A SPECIALIST. MONROE PLAYED TAILBACK, FULLBACK AND WINGBACK AND HELPED LEAD THE MAROONS FOOTBALL TEAM REACH THE DISTRICT TITLE GAME.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING ON SATURDAY
COLEMAN CAPTURED FIRST PLACE AT THE E.H. STECH INVITATIONAL IN WEST ALLIS. THE COUGARS HAD FOUR FIRST PLACE FINISHERS AND TALLIED 216 POINTS EDGING MUKWONAGO BY THREE POINTS. 24 TEAMS COMPETED IN THE TOURNAMENT. KARSON CASPER, JOHN BIEBER, SHAMUS MCLAIN AND SPENCER KARBAN ALL HAD FIRST PLACE FINISHES.

MARINETTE TOOK 7TH WITH 127 POINTS AND PESHTIGO 12TH WITH 72 AT THE 19 TEAM SHAWANO HOLIDAY CLASSIC.
