THE ALL-MONLPC – LARGE ALL-CONFERENCE FOOTBALL TEAM HAS BEEN RELEASED AND PESHTIGO HAS FOUR PLAYERS ON THE FIRST TEAM OFFENSE. SENIOR RUNNING BACK JEROD JAHNDT, SENIOR LINEMEN JORDAN RIEBE AND GUNNER SOMMERS AND JUNIOR LINEMAN CODY SALZMAN ARE ALL FIRST TEAMERS. SOMMERS IS ALSO FIRST TEAM DEFENSIVE LINE AND PESHTIGO SENIOR MITCHELL PETERS MADE FIRST TEAM AT LINEBACKER.

PESHTIGO JUNIOR GRACE WICKMAN WAS VOTED ON TO THE ALL-PACKERLAND CONFERENCE GIRLS VOLLEYBALL SECOND TEAM. OCONTO JUNIOR CORA BEHNKE WAS THE PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

STEPHENSON SENIOR EMILY JOHNSON IS FIRST TEAM IN THE SKYLINE CONFERENCE IN GIRLS VOLLEYBALL . TWO CARNEY-NADEAU JUNIORS ALSO MADE FIRST TEAM, TAYLOR KEDSCH AND LIANA BLAHNIK.

CARNEY-NADEAU BEAT NORTH CENTRAL 3-0 IN THE DIVISION 4 DISTRICT 99 SEMI-FINALS IN POWERS.
THE WOLVES WILL HOST FOREST PARK ON WEDNESDAY AT 6PM IN THE DISTRICT SEMI-FINALS.

MENOMINEE’S DISTRICT ONE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL GAME AT CALUMET ON SATURDAY WILL KICK-OFF AT NOON CENTRAL TIME. THE FAN BUS BEING OFFERED BY THE MAROON BOOSTER CLUB WILL DEPART AT 7AM FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL MAIN PARKING LOT. THE COST IS 40 DOLLARS. YOU CAN HEAR THE GAME ON CLASSIC HITS 103.7FM.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ON SATURDAY
MENOMINEE SCORED 34 SECOND HALF POINTS EN ROUTE TO A 48-18 VICTORY OVER WESTWOOD IN A DIVISION 6 DIRSTRICT PLAYOFF GAME. KEEGAN MONROE, JUST VOTED THE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR IN THE U.P., STARRED ON DEFENSE FOR THE MAROONS WITH THREE SECOND HALF INTERCEPTIONS, ONE THAT HE RETURNED FOR A TOUCHDOWN. BRENDAON HARRIS ALSO HAD A PICK 6 FOR THE MAROONS AND HARRIS ALSO RAN FOR 145 YARDS AND TWO TD’S. MENOMINEE WILL PLAY AT CALUMET ON SATURDAY IN A DISTRICT TITLE GAME.

MARINETTE SENIOR KAITLYN KITZINGER FINISHED 42ND IN DIVISION 2 AT THE STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET AT WISCONSIN RAPIDS ON SATURDAY. FAITH KING OF COLEMAN FINISHED 43RD IN DIVISION 3.

ON SATURDAY, MENOMINEE RETURNS TO THE PLAYOFFS AFTER A YEAR AWAYWITH A GAME AT WESTWOOD. IT’S A DIVISION 6 DISTRICT CONTEST THAT WILL KICK-OFF AT NOON CENTRAL TIME.
