You can help provide heat for families in need in Menominee County this winter. The Community Action Agency is planning their annual Walk for Warmth for February 24th. The campaign helps bridge the gap for residents who need some assistance paying their winter heating bills, but fall short of qualifying for state programs. The walk begins at 10:00 AM and travels from the Menominee Senior Center to the Spies Public Library and back. Pledge sheets and more information about the Walk for Warmth can be found at mdscaa.org. Similar events hosted by the Community Action Agency will also be held in Delta and Schoolcraft counties.
