04/03/2020- Marinette County is staying the course when it comes to their strategy for fending off the spread of coronavirus. County Administrator John Lefebvre gave an update to the Executive Committee this week on courthouse operations following the outbreak. He says while employees have implemented important social distancing practices, they’re doing everything they can to maintain the essential services residents still rely on.
Some departments or divisions, like the county’s Library System, have been forced to suspend operations during this time, but Lefebvre says they have kept as many of those employees on the job as they can, even if that means temporarily assigning them new responsibilities.
While day-to-day activities are still being carried out, Marinette County has limited public access to the majority of their facilities, including the courthouse and law enforcement center. Residents needing assistance are encouraged to conduct as much of their communication with county personnel as possible via phone or email.
