County Board Supervisor Running for 89th District Post
05/21/2020- A Town of Peshtigo resident and newly-elected Marinette County Board Supervisor has entered the race for Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly District Seat. Karl Jaeger has announced his candidacy for the position currently held by Representative John Nygren of Marinette. The Democratic Jaeger is calling for “greater accountability and heightened focus on issue affecting residents of the district.” He places particular emphasis on drinking water contamination issues as well as the need for a plan to alleviate the burden of the COVID-19 health crisis on Wisconsin’s uninsured families, as well as the economic impact of the virus on the state. Jaeger was elected to the Marinette County Board in April. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in History. Incumbent Nygren and Marinette resident Ken Holdorf have also announced their intentions to run in the upcoming race for the Assembly seat.
