The systems upgrade at the UW Marinette Field House is nearly complete. Tuesday, Marinette County Facilities Director Martin Keyport led the Building and Property Committee on a tour of the field house to show off the building’s new HVAC system capabilities. He says a number of other projects were able to be completed while the new Dectron installation took place.
Keyport says a new HVAC system was necessitated by the old unit’s inability to keep up with the demands placed on it by the pool’s high-humidity environment.
This spring crews will begin working on the field house parking lot and its lighting. Keyport also plans to partner with UW-Marinette personnel to refresh the building’s exterior. The total cost of the Field House upgrades to Marinette County is around 400-thousand dollars.
