03/31/2020- Marinette County Emergency Management is alerting people that the snowpack from the winter and this past weekend’s storms have all rivers and streams in Marinette County flowing high and fast. The Menominee and Peshtigo rivers are expected to continue to be high for the foreseeable future and as spring fishing gets underway, fishermen should use caution, whether on shore or on a boat, especially when near dams. Anyone on or near a body of water is strongly urged to wear a personal flotation device, take extra safety precautions, and stay alert to changing conditions and any ice or debris that may be coming downstream. WPS has issued high flow alerts for the Peshtigo and Menominee Rivers. There are also flood warnings at various locations on these rivers.
