LaVigne Trial Pushed Back to September
05/15/2019- The trial for the former Little Chute teacher accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in Marinette County has been rescheduled. The case against 46-year-old Jason LaVigne of Appleton was originally set to go to trial next week, however, LaVigne has opted to hire a new attorney, pushing the trial date back to September. Frank Stupak had been the one representing LaVigne in the matter, but will be replaced by Attorney Kevin Musolf. LaVigne is facing one county of third-degree sexual assault for allegedly giving alcohol to a 16-year-old girl before assaulting her during a trip to the Town of Stephenson last June and if convicted, he could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison. His four-day jury trial begins September 17th.
