“Five babies have been born to drug court participants free of drugs.”
That’s what Marinette County Judge Jim Morrison had to say about the program’s continued success last week. Two participants graduated from Drug Court in December and two more recently filed paperwork to begin the exit phase.
Robin Elsner, Director of the Marinette County’s Health and Human Services, says a key component of the drug court’s success is ensuring participants are doing something meaningful with their time.
There are currently 19 participants in the Marinette County Drug Court. 11 people have graduated since the program’s inception in 2014.
