Marinette County Declares State of Emergency
A state of emergency is declared for Marinette County. The County Board made the proclamation Tuesday as part of an effort to obtain funding from FEMA to assist communities in recouping some of the costs incurred by snow removal work following last weekend’s blizzard. Marinette County Emergency Management Director Eric Burmeister says the storm was one of the largest in state history.
Burmesiter says Governor Scott Walker will next submit a letter to the President requesting the release of FEMA funding.
