03/07/2019- Crews are about a quarter of the way complete with the removal of the steel detention equipment at the former Marinette County Jail. The work on the Ella Court building got underway last week as part of a larger plan to renovate the facility to house more county offices and all of the steel could be removed by April. County Administrator John Lefebvre says he and other county officials are still developing a draft floor plan for the building and, once the steel removal is complete, he’d like to seek quotes from engineering and architectural firms for the remainder of the project. Lefebvre expects the Ella Court building to be occupied sometime next year.
