08/28/2018- Families are invited to the West Shore Fishing Museum this weekend for an end-of-summer celebration. The Bailey Property Preservation Association is hosting their annual Ice Cream Social and Community Picnic Sunday, September 2nd at the Fishing Museum. Noreen Johnson, President of the BPPA says there will be plenty to do, see, and eat.
Johnson estimates between 600 and 700 people attend the event each year and it offers an opportunity for guests to learn more about the area’s fishing heritage while soaking up the last bit of summer.
The Ice Cream Social and Community Picnic runs from noon until 4:00 PM Sunday and will be held rain or shine. The West Shore Fishing Museum is located fifteen miles north of Menominee on M-35. Guests should enter through Bailey Park.
